Create your account

1

Go to passagent.ai/signup and create an account with your email address. You can also sign up with Google or GitHub OAuth.
2

Set your master password

Choose a strong master password. This password is used to derive your encryption key locally — it is never sent to our servers.
Your master password cannot be recovered. If you lose it, you will need to use Shamir recovery (if configured) or reset your vault.
3

Unlock your vault

Enter your master password to derive your vault key. This unlocks client-side encryption and lets you store and retrieve credentials.

Store your first password

1

Open the vault

Navigate to Dashboard > Vault from the sidebar.
2

Add a credential

Click Add password and fill in:
  • Service name — the website or app (e.g., “GitHub”)
  • Username — your login email or username
  • Password — your current password (or generate a new one)
  • URL — the login page URL
3

Save

Your password is encrypted client-side with AES-256-GCM before being stored. The server never sees the plaintext.

Install the browser extension

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store listing and click Add to Chrome
  2. Click the PassAgent icon in your toolbar
  3. Sign in with your PassAgent account
  4. Your credentials sync automatically for autofill

Connect Gmail (optional)

Gmail integration lets PassAgent read password reset emails during automated reset flows.
1

Go to integrations

Navigate to Dashboard > Integrations.
2

Connect Gmail

Click Connect Gmail and authorize with your Google account. PassAgent requests read-only access (plus limited modify to mark messages as read).
3

Start a reset

Go to Dashboard > Chat and tell the AI agent which password you want to reset. The agent will handle the rest.
